A Celebration of Life
Keith Lamont Robinson (Butteroll) went to be with the Lord on August 5, 2024, and fought a good fight but God saw that he could no longer endure his health issues, and, on that day, he went home to be with the angels in heaven.
Keith was born on September 14, 1963, to Zelma Lee Robinson-Haskins in Norfolk, VA. Keith grew up in the Berkley section of Norfolk, VA and while in school Keith developed a love of all sports, including basketball, baseball, and football.
Keith also had a passion for art and fashion. Keith found intense pleasure in drawing pictures and allowing his imagination to run wild, as well as a love of music and had great dance moves that would always put a smile on someone’s face as if he was the life of the party. He also found self-expression through every article of clothing he wore and took immense pride in his physique and appearance. Keith was the life of the party and stood out in the crowd and his contagious laughter and vibrant demeanor was always full of life. Family was the most important thing in Keith’s life, and his first love and best friend was his mother Zelma Lee, aka Plue.
Keith’s formative years were spent in Berkley with his grandparents and family until he decided to relocate to Brooklyn, New York with his mother, father, and siblings.
After moving to Brooklyn, Keith was employed at Filter Clean and his tireless work ethic and willingness to take challenges head on made him a standout team member amongst his peers at the workplace.
The sudden loss of Keith is an indescribable turning point in life’s journey, a time when the bonds of those he shares with others will be remembered and celebrated endlessly. This cherished piece of writing is more than a mere announcement, it is a loving homage, a narrative that intertwined Keith’s legacy, value and memories etched in the hearts of those he loved.
Keith was predeceased by his grandparents Thurman Gay and Susie Pierce, his father Freddie Haskins, his brother Kevin L Haskins, and his mother Zelma Lee Robinson-Haskins. Keith is survived by his son Donovan, his sister Karen Haskins, two nieces Joselyn and Teela Haskins, one great-nephew Taylor a great-niece Ryan and a host of other family and friends.
