LeVell Samuel Obituary

Samuel was born an only child to the late Earline Sansbury and Hosea Samuel in Darlington, SC. He received his lower school education through the Darlington Public School System. As a child, he moved to Virginia with his mother Earline Sansbury-Ham, grandmother, Isabel Sansbury and step father Huey Ham. There he attended Norfolk Public Schools where he graduated from Booker T. Washington High School.

On July 13, 1966, he married Delsie Mae Kearney and later had two sons Levell Jr.(Lee) and Lawrence(L.A.). Levell worked at the Naval Supply Center in Norfolk, Virginia as a warehouse supervisor and later retired after 36 years of service. Levell’s cool, calm and collected demeanor earned him the nickname “Coolsie” by friends and family.

In 2001, Levell prayed the prayer of salvation with his son Lawrence and later joined Miracle Temple Worship Center where his son pastored. While at Miracle Temple, he served as a deacon and assisted with the finances of the ministry. He was a dedicated partner of the ministry and loved serving and praising God every chance he got. In 2006, Levell accompanied his son and joined Living Waters Christian Fellowship. He later became a leader in Restoration Christian Fellowship under the leadership of Apostle Charlie and Prophet Vikki Ammons.

He served faithfully at RCC in the Seniors ministry, Men’s Ministry and the cafe ministry. Anyone who knew Levell(pop Samuel) knew him as a gentle, kind and helpful man. Although he had multiple health challenges, you would never hear him complain. Instead, he decided to do as David and “bless the Lord at all times”

On March 10, 2021 at 4:25 pm, his Heavenly Father decided to call him home to his reward. Levell is predeceased by his mother Earline Ham, his father Hosea Samuel and his step-father Huey Ham. He is survived by his wife of nearly 55 years, Delsie Samuel, two sons Lawrence Samuel and Levell Samuel, Jr. two grandkids, Lauren and Lucas Samuel and a host of cousins, friends and loved ones
