Mae Sanders

Our Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Devoted Sister of Christ departed this life and entered into the loving arms of Jesus on August 24th, 2019. Mae F Sanders born in Darlington, South Carolina on July 7, 1946 to the late Louis and Willie B Douglas.

She was a loving and dedicated member of St John’s AME Church. She served as Stewardess, Missionary, a member of the Women’s Usher Board II and an active member of the Branches of The Vine Sunday School Class. Her spirit and unmeasurable love for our Savior was felt just by her presence. Mae never met a stranger whom she wouldn’t have a conversation with or embrace the Word of Christ too.

She was predeceased in death by her sibling Willie James Douglas. Mae is survived by husband Harvey J. Sanders Jr., (Virginia Beach, VA) two daughters, Sharon R.Sanders & Lisa A. Sanders (Norfolk, VA), two granddaughters, Tanisha D. Drake & Tiara S. Sanders, (Norfolk, Va) and one great granddaughter, Narley Marie. She is also leaves to cherish one sister, Carolyn D Jackson (Virginia Beach, VA) and one brother, Johnny Douglas (Lottie) (Fayetteville, NC), as well as host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. 

She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her and we were blessed to have her in our lives.
