Mamie Stone

Mamie Toleda Stone, 77, passed away unexpectedly on March 19, 2021 in Norfolk, VA.  Mamie, fondly known as “Big Leda” was born and raised in Norfolk, VA.  She attended local schools in the area and worked as a seamstress for over 40 years before retiring from her skill.  Mamie was preceded in death by her parents Willie Spence Sr. and Mamie R. Spence, a brother George Spence, two sisters Jeanette Faulks and Katherine Spence, and daughter Toleda Spence.  Mamie is survived by her sister JoAnn Dixon (Noel), brother Willie Spence (Patricia), a son Edward Douglas Spence, grandchildren Devonnia Ambrose (Brandon), Steve Spence and Shernitta Spence, great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
