Marcia Sabrina Stephanie Dumas (Robins), age 45, passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2020 in Norfolk, VA.
Marcia was born in Richlands, VA on July 19th, 1974 and graduated from Lebanon High School. She was the daughter of Stanley Miles Robins of Belfast, Va and Pheobe J. Bennett (Custer) of Bokeelia, FL . After being honorably discharged from the Army, she moved to the Hampton Roads area of Virginia where she met and married the loving father of her two sons, Carl DiStaso. Her two devoted sons, Patrick Lewis Miles DiStaso and Jacob William DiStaso still live in the Hampton Roads area.
She loved arts and crafts and walked the beaches gathering shells, rocks and wood to craft jewelry and artistic depictions. She was a loving Mother, Wife, and Daughter. Though her life was cut short, she touched the lives of many. Her smile was endearing. When her father, Stanley, and her grandfather, Garland, became ill, she always spent every moment she could to be there for them. She will be missed by all.
She is survived by her mother Pheobe Jeanne and Stepfather, James Custer, of Ivor, VA, and her husband, Stephen Troy Dumas. She will be remembered by her son Patrick and his fiancé Jaymie Query, her son Jacob, her brother, Chris Hardt, and sister, Sarah Custer, her long-time partner Ben O’Kelly and his children, Brittany and her husband Shawn Schawe, and Jonathon O’Kelly.
She was preceded in death by her father, Stanley Robins, grandfathers, Garland Robins, William Bennett, Sr., Frederick Trulson, Edsel Wayne Custer, and Alfred Blower, her grandmothers, Ruby Trulson, Dorothy Robins, Elizabeth (Libby) Custer, and Jean Blower, her uncles William Bennett, Jr. and Dan Brumbaugh.
