Margie Jones

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Margie Marie Dodd Jones 72, who left us on September 20, 2025.  She was born on February 15, 1953, in Texas.

She was preceded in death by her Mother Filma Gean Dodd, Stepfather Henry Dodd whom raised her, her brothers Jimmy Dale Wilkinson, sister n law Debbie Wilkinson, and Herbert Wayne Wilkinson.

Left to cherish her memory she is survived by her lifelong partner of the last 42 years William E. Dunaway of Chesapeake, daughters Geannie Jone (Jason) and Kay Jones (Jimmy) Texas, Grandson William Pate (Kassandra) Kentucky, Granddaughter Bailee Buentello (Josh) and three great grandchildren Moriah, Aiden and Violeta. Many nieces and nephews to whom all were special to her, especially Jennifer Kay and Coltyn.

Margie lived her life to the fullest and loved helping any and every one she could. She loved her children and grandchildren and was so proud of them all.  She was an avid Deep Creek Fan enjoying time at the high school football games when she could. She retired from Vico Construction where she worked for over 25 years. Her last few years were spent working for Big Charles.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday October 5, 2025, at 4PM. Location Deep Creek Ruritan Club 200 Luray Street, Chesapeake Virginia 23323.
