Mayhew Pearce affectionately known as “Pee Wee” quietly and peacefully transitioned to eternal life on November 26, 2024.
Mayhew, oldest of 5 children, was born on April 10, 1933 to the late John and Anne Ruth Marshall. He married the love of his life, Ethel Wynn, in 1959 and from the union two children were born.
He served with distinction in the United States Armed Forces for over a decade. After retiring from the Armed Forces, he had a successful career as a defensive logistic agent for 32 years with the Federal Government.
Mayhew had a deep passion for working with his hands, finding joy in the tasks of yard work and building projects. Whether he was trimming hedges, crafting wooden sculptures, or assembling car models, he took great pride in creating something functional and beautiful with his own effort.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ethel, and daughter, Deloris Smith, and leaves to cherish his memory 1 child: Mayhew (Marquita) Pearce Jr.; a sister: Yvonne Kincaid and a brother: Frank Marshall; 10 grandchildren: Sharon Smith, William Smith Jr. (Lisa), Sheryl Williams(Chris), Shanita Mercedes, Rodney Drummond Jr., Teneisha Drummond, Maya Pearce, and Madison Pearce; 6 great grandchildren: Devon Alexander, Lateshia Smith, David Garcia, Jomar Mercedes, Reyna Mercedes, William Smith III, Draya Reaves, and a host of relatives and friends.
