She gave wonderful advice to her children to guide them into becoming responsible adults. Mildred loved celebrating the holidays with her family, singing, dancing, and cooking her family's favorite sweet potato pies. She was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church and enjoyed fellowshipping, singing in the choir, and being a part of the church community; this truly made her happy. Mildred was also the Chief of Elections for the Seatack community for 32 years. Her job was overseeing that every election ran smoothly, and residents cast their votes. She later worked at the Sheraton Hotel on the beach, where she took pride in performing her job. She established good friendships there. Mildred's life was filled with indulging in all of the things that made her happy. We, the family, know that life will never be the same, but we are grateful for the time we had.
