Noah Gallop, Jr. Obituary

On Saturday, January 19, 2019 Noah Pelton Gallop, Jr., affectionately known as “Milkman” entered into eternal rest. He was born on February 10, 1954 in Powells Point, North Carolina to the late Noah P. Gallop, Sr. and Mary Ann Gallop.  He was educated in the Norfolk Public School System.  Noah retired from Christ the King Catholic School in Norfolk, Virginia in 2014.  He had also been employed at the Norfolk Naval Supply Center.  In addition to his father, Noah was preceded in death by three sisters, Lillie Mae Coles, Grisell A. “Polly” Gallop, and Naomi Lisa Gallop.  Noah had begun to have an open heart and mind to the Word of God. He enjoyed watching TBN Ministries and engaging in the sermons.  He accepted Christ and became a member of Second Calvary Baptist Church.

Noah loved his family and enjoyed participating in family gatherings.  He was quiet natured, loving and generous, but he would freely express his opinion and let you know what was on his mind.  Fishing and football were two pastimes that he loved.  He was a loyal Redskins fan.  He enjoyed cooking on the grill and his favorite place to eat was Pollard’s Chicken.

Noah leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Mary Ann Gallop; daughters Latanya Gibbs and Kamarra Gibbs Gallop; granddaughter, Tianna Gibbs; sister Arnette Gallop; nephews Mario and Demond Gallop; great niece, Tashawna Gallop; great nephews, Tayquan Gallop and Tavon Innis; great great nieces, Layla, Lariyah, Laniyah, Alasjah and Italy Gallop, all of Norfolk, Virginia; and a host of other relatives and friends.
