Norman Wiggins III was born on April 1, 1955 to Norman Wiggins Jr. and Inez H. Wiggins in Norfolk, VA. He transitioned quietly from Earth to glory on Friday, April 23, 2021.
He attended Norview High School and was a member of the Honor Society and was a beloved tutor to many students at Norview. He earned his B.A. from Grambling State University in Philosophy. He was a student in African-American History and was a port in his own right. Norman was a member of the Groove Phi Groove fraternity, Grambling Chapter. He was quite a deep thinker. Norman was preceded in death by his mother and father.
Norman leaves to cherish his memory his step-mother, Mammie Wiggins of Chesapeake, VA; his daughter, Desarie Wiggins of New York; his son, Lamont Wiggins of New York; his grandson, Desmond Bennett of New York; his brothers, Terry Wiggins (Brenda) of Norfolk, VA, Clifford Wiggins (Gillian) of Maryland, and Reginald Wiggins (Maria) of Maryland; his sisters, Sherrie Wiggins-Flood (Timothy) of Maryland, Carol Wiggins-Bird (Patrick) of Chesapeake, VA, and Valeria James of Virginia Beach, VA; his sister-in-law, Christine Bell; his beloved uncle and aunt Oliver Hunter and Elyven Hunter; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and sorrowing friends who will truly miss him.
