Pamela Corprew Obituary

Pamela June Corprew—beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and a cherished friend to many—passed away on April 15, 2026. Born on September 5, 1964, in Boston, Massachusetts, she was a woman of deep faith who found joy in the simple beauty of a handmade gift and the warmth of a shared song.

Pamela was the cherished daughter of Constance C. Shaw and the late Edward M. Shaw.  She is survived by her mother, Constance C. Shaw; sisters, Marlene Johnson, Lisa Flynn, Deborah Hannon, and Sandra Beale, her three daughters, Ashley Shiloh, Alexis VanHook, and Brittany Moore; and her beloved grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward M. Shaw, Jr.

Throughout her life, Pamela dedicated herself to the service of others. Whether she was ensuring the safety of her community as a bus driver or guiding the growth of young children as a daycare teacher, she approached her work with a nurturing spirit.

Her warmth and easy-going nature meant she never met a stranger; she was blessed with many friends across the various chapters of her life. She spent several cherished years living in Florida near the beach, a place where she built lasting friendships and found great peace in the sun and coastal scenery.

Pamela spent countless hours working with yarn, turning simple threads into intricate blankets and garments that will remain as warm, tangible reminders of her love. Her creative spirit shone through in many ways: Faith & Song: A longtime member of the choir, Pamela loved expressing her devotion through music, finding strength and community in singing alongside her friends.  Floral Design & Cooking: She had a natural talent for arranging flowers and creating soul-warming meals for those she loved.  Scrapbooking & Painting: She was diligent in preserving family history through her scrapbooks and capturing beauty on canvas.

Her family and her wide circle of friends will remember her as a woman who could create something beautiful out of nothing, whose voice rose in song, and whose hands were always working to make the world a little softer and more colorful for everyone around her.

A Promise of Eternal Love

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." — Romans 8:38-39
