Patricia Harris

With deep love and sorrow, we announce the sudden passing of Patricia Von Harris. A beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.

Patricia Von Harris(Koochie) was born on September 5th 1962 in Boston,Massachusetts to Rossley and Elizabeth Kelley. At a very young age Patricia’s parents relocated to the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Patricia received her education from the Accomack Public Schools. It was while attending Onancock High School, she met the love of her life, Michael Harris. Shortly after graduating, they wed and moved to Norfolk, Virginia. Patricia attended Norfolk State University, there she studied Mass Communication.

Patricia’s and Michael’s union produced four children, Ra’mone, Patrayia, Rashawn,and Ste’fan. Patricia doted over each one of her children. Her unconditional love for them was solid and unbreakable. They were her LIFE!

For many years Patricia was employed by ICT Group. She continued to work varied jobs before retiring in 2025.

Patricia (Koochie) was always down for a good time. Whether hanging out with family or with her besties, her jokingly sense of humor and boisterous laugh entertained us all. Patricia’s ability to impersonate anyone was one of her many trademarks. She enjoyed dancing, eating out and talking on the phone. As we all know she could keep you on the phone for hours! Patricia had a fondness for R & B singer Keith Sweat. Once she heard his voice, it was on and popping. We will miss our beloved Patricia. Her memories will live on in our hearts forever.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Rossley, Elizabeth, and 1 brother Kevin.

Patricia is survived by her husband Michael Harris, her four children; Ra’mone, Patrayia(Zo) of Virginia Beach, Va.: Rashawn (Abrial) of North Carolina and Ste’fan, of Virginia Beach, VA.;  Four grandchildren Zha’kijah, Areyona, A’zari and Avani. Brother in law William and Sister in law Tasha. A host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins along with dear and special friends.
