Phyllis Felton-Gray was born on July 16, 1952 in Norfolk, VA to the late James William Felton and Annie Mae Lemon. Walter Edward Gray was a very warm husband friend preceded Phyllis in death.
Phyllis went to school in Norfolk, VA and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. She made her way to Philadelphia with the intent of staying one week. One week turned into nine and a half years. While there she attained her Associates Degree in Business Administration. After returning back to Norfolk she drove for HRT and various other driving companies. Phyllis loved to drive. Upon her retirement she worked as an associate at the Shell Corporation until the failing of her health.
Phyllis studied the Bible with Jehovah Witnesses. She symbolized her dedication, July 12, 2014, and had a great love for the Bible. Her baptism was in Raleigh, NC.
Left to embrace her loving memory are her two brothers, Leon Felton and Tony Felton; her loving aunt, Sarah Lemon. Preceding brother in death, Michael Felton; Michael’s children, Angela Felton-Zimmerman, Michael Felton, Crystal Felton (deceased), Carlissa Rohan, Adrienne Felton, and Tara Felton; Aunt Sarah, Ronald, Robert Lemon, Charlotte Lemon-James, as well as a host of family and friends.
