Reaver McKay

Reaver V. McKay transitioned into eternal rest on September 12, 2023. She was born to the late James Faison and Ada Trump on October 4, 1938 in Nash County, NC.

Reaver was educated in Rocky Mount, NC. She followed her older sister in moving to Virginia Beach, VA in the late 1950s and became a waitress at Cookie’s Café, where she worked for 10-15 years. She would then become a housekeeper and childcare giver for more than 30 years.

Reaver is preceded in death by her first husband, Peter Jones; second husband, Charles McKay; one sister and three brothers. She is survived by her daughters, Felicia Marve of Flint, MI and Phyllis Williams (Barry) of Chesapeake, VA; one son, Jerry Jones (Christa) of Norfolk, VA; one brother, James Faison, Jr.; her grandchildren, Vestora Taylor or Richmond, VA, Jacob Jones of Henrico, VA, Lashawn Jones, Patrice Marve, Dante Marve of Flint, MI, and Derek Marve of Arlington, TX; as well as a host of great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
