Robert Andrew Feldt graduated to Heaven on Saturday, October 14, 2023, surrounded by family in Virginia Beach, VA at 65 years old. He was born on July 12, 1958, in Norfolk, VA and retired after many years in the construction industry. He was loyal, generous and unequivocally stubborn. That stubbornness, however, when directed to something he loved became steadfast determination. Even at the end of his life, Robert was determined to bless others... the Silver Lining to this unexpected tragedy. As an organ donor, he gave life to two individuals who desperately needed his kidneys. It should come as no surprise that his Love Language was gifts.
Robert was predeceased by his beloved parents Everett R. Feldt, Sr. and Elizabeth A. Feldt. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Alexis Gerdes (Lane), stepson Garrett Bridges, brothers Everett Feldt, Jr., Philip Feldt (Dawn), Alan Feldt, grandchildren Michael, Megan (Shelby), Garrett II (Katie), Ethan (Matthew), Alyssa, Scarlett, Vivien, great-grandchildren Irie, Grant and another on the way, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, November 4 at 2:00 PM to celebrate his life at Beach Fellowship, 1817 General Booth Blvd., Virginia Beach. The celebration will continue at the conclusion of the service with a reception at Jamaica Inn, 1948 Diamond Springs Rd., Virginia Beach. Flowers are welcome and donations may be made in Robert’s honor to Youth of Virginia Speak Out About Traffic Safety: Drive for Change & Arrive Alive (www.YOVASO.org).
The family would like to thank the staff at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital and LifeNet Health for their care of Robert, as well as Beach Fellowship and Keith Matthews Funeral Home for all their support. Online condolences may be shared at keithmatthewsfuneralhome.com.
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain.” (Revelation 21:4)
