Rosie Ward

On October 18, 2025, Rosie Lee Ward  AKA mama Rose received her wings. Rosie was born on May 10, 1942 in Hertford North Carolina.

Rosie received her Education in the North Carolina public school system. She began her nursing career after graduating as a certified Nursing Assistant in 1986. Rosie worked for over thirty years.

She was a beacon of love, strength and unwavering support, whose presence touched every life she encountered. Her legacy lives on in the countless memories we hold dear. The values she instilled in us, and the kindness she spread throughout our community. “Mom was the kind of person who could light up a room just by walking in.

Rosie leaves to cherish her memory, her five loving children from oldest to youngest: Fulton Mitchell, Derrick Williams, William Nimmo, and Kevin Nimmo, Sonja Marshall. Her Grand kids from youngest to oldest: Quintus Marshal, Ashley Mitchell, Roshawn Walton, Krystal McCutchen, Kevin Nimmo, and Keyanna Nimmo.
