On Wednesday, Sept 29, 2021, God called Rudolph H. Lee to His Heavenly Home.
Rudolph was born June 21st, 1944, to Julia Morgan Lee and Earl BT Lee, in Portsmouth Virginia. He was the 4th child of six children, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. He was raised and educated in Norfolk, VA. Rudolph attended Diggs Park Elementary, Ruffner Jr. High, and later Graduate from Booker T. Washington High School 1964 February class. After High School he attended Norfolk State University for Brick Laying Courses.
In 1966, Rudolph was drafted in the United Army, and he was a Vietnam Veteran. Rudolph worked for 30 years at Norfolk Redevelopment Housing Authority as a Trade’s Mechanic. Rudolph joined Second Calvary Baptist Church in November of 1992 under the leadership of Dr. Geoffrey V. Guns. He was a former member of the Male Usher Board, Male Chorus, Gospel Choir, and the Greeter’s Ministry. Rudy LOVE ; His Wife, Family, Friends, Church Family& He was a HONONARY Of Booker T Washington C/O 1971,Earth, Wind, and Fire, Bones, Chess, Cooking, Fishing, Traveling across Country with the Road Dawgz, Yard Sales\ Flea Markets, watching TV (or TV watching HIM), Rifleman, Matlock, Cooking Channels, Murder She Wrote, and All Sports( especially the Dallas Cowboys) Westerns. He liked to RELAX in His Man Cave and Please Please DON’T MESS WITH HIS MOTE (remote to us).
Whenever you called Rudolph (Baye, Rudy, Toot Toot, RUDY HERE, Papa, King, Dad, and Grandpa). On his cell phone he always answered, “Rudy Here, check with you”.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Three brothers Earl, Clarence, LeVern and one sister Earline. Rudolph leaves to Cherish His Memory a source of Great Pride His Wife of 40 years Janice S. Lee, Four Successful Daughters Tonae Smith- Thomas, Zenovia S. (Aaroan) McClellan, Cheyenne R. Lee, and Twanna (Horace) Allen. Eight Grandkids, Devante Smith(Ashley), Temonia B. Thomas III, DaQuan Thomas, Hillary Cotton, Amani and Zeniyah Mcclellan, Zenovia J. Smith, and Heaven A.R. Harris .Three Great-Grandkids Devante Smith Jr, Israel Thomas & Elijah Smith, A Wonderful Sister Chatay(Darryl) Epps. 5 Sisters in Laws Geneva, Dorothy, Evangela (Michael) Baines, Elizabeth, Carolyn (Alfred) Smith. And a Host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
