Shakeda Spruill

According to the divine plan of our Heavenly Father, on Monday August 16, 2021, Shakeda Leann Spruill transitioned through the door that leads to eternal peace and love.  She was kind and compassionate; a loving daughter, sister, cousin, godmother and most importantly a friend to all.  “Keda Boo” affectionately known to many genuinely loved everyone and her smile would brighten your day.

Shakeda was born in Frankfort, Germany on December 18, 1986 to the late Curtis Lee and Annette Spruill.  She was educated through Chesapeake Public Schools graduating from Deep Creek High School in 2005.  She attended Sentara College receiving certification as a Nurse Assistant. She also attended Centura College and received certification in Medical Assisting.  Until her death, she was employed by We Care INC  as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.  Shakeda was a member of Solid Rock Worldwide Outreach Ministry under the leadership pf Pastor Rodney Mills. She was a member of the Music Ministry and volunteered with the Outreach Ministry serving communities across Hampton Roads.  Shakeda was  a leader and a true inspiration to others. She always full of words of encouragement and  knew just the correct time to express them.

Shakeda was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, James and Sarah Hairston and paternal grandparents, William and Mildred Spruill.

Shakeda leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Annette Spruill of Chesapeake, Virginia; Brother, Curtis Spruill Jr. of Chesapeake, Virginia; Sisters, Sakoya Spruill of Chesapeake and Erica Spruill of Georgia, Virginia; Godfather, LeAndrew Watford (Kisha) of Boykins, Virginia; God sister, LeAndra Watford of  Boykins, Virginia; Kevin Watford of Boykins, Virginia; best friend since Middle School, Latisa Jones; five Godchildren; special friend, Mike Hutchinson and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
