Sharon Kool

Sharon Kay Kool, 84, of Melfa, Virginia, passed away on October 24, 2023, surrounded by family at her home. She was born on April 1, 1939 in Muskegon, Michigan. Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, John Kool, and their children: Renae (Dick) Feyer, Kristi (Jim) Harris, Cassie (Keith) Saagman, Ross (Kim) Kool and son-in-law, Todd Mangum. She was a loving sister to Ron (Mary) Boes. Sharon was also a cherished grandmother to 16 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 23 great-grandchildren.  She also was cherished by her caretakers, Saundra and Dickie Bagwell.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, J.B. and Thelma Boes, and her daughter, Amy Kool Mangum.
Sharon loved traveling in her motorhome and boat and loved spending time on the water with her husband, especially in the Bahamas.  She loved music and loved to sing hymns and praise her Lord and Savior. 

Sharon will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family.  She never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service is planned in Sharon's honor on June 15, 2024 in Norfolk, Virginia.
