Terence Tyrone “Byhue” Davis was born on October 5, 1969, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, to Lela Mae Davis and the late Walter Ray Davis. He was a proud graduate of Moss Point High School, Class of 1987.
Terence worked diligently as a 1st Class Pipefitter for more than 20 years, earning the respect of his colleagues through his dedication and strong work ethic. He also honorably served his country in the United States Army Reserve for six years, including two years of active duty during Operation Desert Storm, where he served as a truck driver.
In addition to his professional and military accomplishments, Terence was a talented and entrepreneurial barber. His passion for his trade led him to work in several barbershops throughout Moss Point before becoming the co-owner of B & B Barber and Salon. For over a decade, he faithfully served his community, blending artistry with service as he built lasting friendships and a loyal clientele who admired not only his skill but also his kind and genuine spirit.
Terence was preceded in death by his father, Walter Ray Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Kenya Davis; eight children, Terence (Kimberly) Davis of Ocean Springs, MS; LaKendria Davis of Hattiesburg, MS; Drashawn A. McCoy and Keon L. McCoy, both of Virginia Beach, VA; Alea Davis of Pascagoula, MS; Syria R. McCoy, Kania Q. McCoy, and Ty’Anna Davis of Virginia Beach, VA; five beloved grandchildren, Ava Wells of Pascagoula, MS; Nola and Nolan Davis of Ocean Springs, MS; and Krue McCoy and KaNova McCoy of Virginia Beach, VA.
He is also survived by his mother, Lela Mae Davis of Moss Point, MS; two sisters, Cornelia Davis of Birmingham, AL, and Kolletta Lee of Baton Rouge, LA; mother-in-law, Jacqueline D. McCoy of Virginia Beach, VA; two brothers-in-law, Wayne N. McCoy of Norfolk, VA, and Bobby (Francine) Williams of Maryland; one great aunt, Fannie Taylor of Brooklyn, NY; one nephew, Kingston Lee; one niece, Willow Lee; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Terence will be remembered for his kindness, his humor, his craftsmanship, and his unwavering love for his family and friends. His legacy of hard work, service, and compassion will live on through all who knew him.
