On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, Te’Sherra slipped into her eternal resting place at the home of her grandmother in Norfolk, Va.
Te’Sherra was born on March 3, 1990, to the late Angela Brown & Harold Demarrow Gilliam of Norfolk, Va. She was preceded in death by her mother, brother, Dequan Brown, and maternal grandmother, Purnella Johnson.
Te’Sherra attended Norfolk Public Schools and the Job Corps, where she worked in various trades.
She was a loving mother, daughter, granddaughter, and friend. She loved her children and grandmother Adgenora with all her heart.
Te’Sherra loved to dress and show off her many wigs and purses.
She joined Making A Difference Bible Holiness Church in 2018, under the leadership of Bishop Leroy Burton in Norfolk, Va. She later attended St. Luke AME Church in Chesapeake, Va, until her illness took a hold of her.
Te’Sherra leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Taniya Renee Gilliam of St. Louis, Mo, Kamarri (Amarie) McCaskill of Moyock, NC, Honesty Lenora Gilliam of Portsmouth, Va, and Reily Mary Gilliam of Norfolk, Va; father, Harold Gilliam; paternal grandmother, Adgenora Gilliam, paternal grandfather Harold Knox, Jr., all of Norfolk, Va; paternal aunt, Bernice Cheeks (Joseph) of Chesterfield, Va; paternal aunt, Patricia Knox of Chesapeake, Va; maternal aunt, Carolyn Johnson (Jerome) of Virginia Beach, Va; maternal uncles, Willie Johnson of New York and Donnell Johnson of Norfolk, Va; two sisters, Teryn Babour of Chesapeake, Va and TeShya Brown of Norfolk, Va; one brother, Dominique Brown of North Carolina; special cousins, Jasmine of Washington D.C., Thomas Coleman, Jr., of Jersey City, New Jersey, Demel Wilkerson of Norfolk, Va; very special friend, Lakia Hamilton of Hampton, Va; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
