Theodore Bertha, 84 born on May 23, 1936, entered the steps of the stairway to heaven to his eternal resting place on Sunday, November 1, 2020.
Bill was born in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Bill was in the Military, 101st Airborne Division in South Carolina, and worked as a Master Concrete Finisher in Virginia. Bill was an avid blues lover, as well as his love for fishing. In fact, because of his love for fishing, he and his wife had spent many overnight trips at the pier. His favorite gospel song was “Precious Lord”. Bill was known for his sense of humor by his family and friends. Bill’s most enjoyable time was spending time with his wife. Bill was also known for every year hosting one of the largest 4th of July Celebration for decades.
Bill was predeceased by his parents Matthew Bertha and Ida Gettys Bertha. Bill is survived by his wife Hattie Vernice Bertha, his sister Ada M. Fluellen, his son Ronnie Bertha, wife Vivian Bertha, daughter Celeste Felton, husband Michael Felton, his Grandchildren; Rhonda Felton, Celena Stevens and Michael A. Felton and 4 great- grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends.
