Thurman “Scratch” Bradford Hill passed away on June 20, 2022, at the age of 83 at his home in Norfolk, Virginia with his devoted wife “Starrrr” by his side. Thurman was born to the union of James and Janie Hill in Southampton County, Virginia on May 24, 1939.
Thurman will be remembered as quiet but powerful and in his later days he was still strong but our cool gentle giant because on any given day you could always find him at home wearing a pair of his favorite sunshades with a matching hat watching the latest boxing match or an Explorer documentary series while enjoying a homecooked meal he prepared for his wife and granddaughter Khassidi who he adored so much.
Thurman Bradford Hill was preceded in death by his parents James and Janie Hill and eleven siblings.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved wife Constance “Starrrr” Margo Hill; his sons Thurman Brown, Kevin Brown, Antonio Brown, Joseph Pritchett and Antonio Rone; his daughters Felica Brown, Demetria White, and Stephane Rone; his sister Glenis Williams; His nieces Patricia Powell and Willie A Brown; his nephews Floyd Ricks and Troy Williams and many other nieces and nephews and host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
