Tiffany Ward Obituary

Sunrise: November 24, 1991 Sunset: November 15, 2025

With family members gathered by her bedside, Tiffany Ward, age 33, of Virginia Beach, VA, transitioned peacefully on November 15, 2025, at VCU Medical Center in Richmond, VA, after a courageous battle with health challenges. Born on November 24, 1991, she was the beloved daughter of the late Mervin Hunter-Ward and Shelia Ward. Tiffany will be forever missed for her joyful spirit, radiant smile, and the love she gave so freely to those around her.

Tiffany’s early connection with the Lord is highlighted through her baptism by Reverend Dr. T. Melvin Steele and her fellowship with the New First Baptist Church Taylorsville located in Portsmouth, VA. Additionally, her dedication to faith is further demonstrated by attendance at services with her mother and friends at Piney Grove Baptist Church. Tiffany graduated from Landstown High School, where she was an active participant on the basketball team and an enthusiastic member of the school’s step team. Her love for dancing, especially the "Electric Slide," brought life and energy to every gathering, reflecting her effervescent personality. Following high school, Tiffany pursued her passion for education and earned an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies at Bryant & Stratton College in Virginia Beach, VA, highlighting her boundless drive and determination.

Upon graduating, Tiffany embarked on a remarkable career in the financial services industry, beginning as a bank teller at Chartway Federal Credit Union. From the very start, her integrity, diligence, and heartfelt compassion for others shone brightly, earning her admiration as a rising star. Tiffany’s dedication to excellence propelled her into elevated roles, including serving as a paralegal assisting Chartway’s attorneys where she guided clients with wisdom, patience, and genuine kindness. Tiffany took immense pride in her work, seeing each interaction not merely as a transaction but as an opportunity to uplift, protect, and honor those who entrusted her with their financial well-being. In this capacity, she worked tirelessly to ensure that members’ accounts were handled with the utmost legal precision and ethical care, reflecting her unwavering commitment to fairness and responsibility. Beyond her professional achievements, Tiffany’s colleagues and clients remember her as a beacon of positivity—someone who carried herself with grace, humility, and a deep respect for the people she served. Even as her health declined, her loyalty and devotion never faltered. She leaves behind a legacy not only of professional excellence but of compassion, resilience, and a spirit that inspired everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Her light continues to shine in the lives she touched, a lasting reminder of the dignity, kindness, and strength she brought to the world. Above all, Tiffany treasured her family and poured her heart into nurturing and uplifting those around her. A talented cook, she loved preparing meals and bringing joy to others through acts of service, filling any room with laughter and warmth. Tiffany was a trusted confidante to her cousins, offering sound advice and support when they needed it most. Her “big, beautiful” smile lit up every room she entered, and her kindness was a gift to everyone who had the honor of knowing her.
