Tina Vaughn

Tina Marie Gipson Vaughn, 60 of Martinsville, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.  She was born November 3, 1963 in Martinsville , VA. to Richmond Gipson Jr. and Esther Lena Dandridge Gipson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Matthew Vaughn, two brothers, Troy Dandridge, and Sheldon Dandridge.

Tina was a devoted member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Fieldale VA., where she sang with the Senior Choir.  Tina worked for Bassett Walker Company, Bassett VA; and 19 years with Great Eastern Resort, Virginia Beach, VA.  She attended Patrick and Henry Community College, Martinsville, VA.

Tina enjoyed mentoring the youth by encouraging them to believe in themselves and to keep striving to do their best. She was a warm and loving individual who treasured time spent with family and friends. She took great joy in helping to raise and spending time with her nieces and nephews. With a heart full of compassion, she was always ready to welcome and support family and friends in need.

She is survived by two brothers, Cyrice Donnell Dandridge of Roanoke VA; Irvin Gipson (Cynthia) of Virginia Beach VA; sister, Dora Lee Doumbia of Bassett VA.  Tina is also cherished by a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
 
Tina will be transported to Bassett Funeral Home, Bassett, Virginia where a celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 11:30 AM with Pastor Benjamin Redd officiating. Her burial will be at Carver Memorial Gardens.
