Vanessa Royster

Vanessa Dere Royster Passed away on Saturday November 26th at her home.

She was born on February 9, 1957 in Chesapeqke Virginia to Elease and Rufus White.  Vanessa was educated in the Chesapeake public school system.  Vanessa served as a nurse in the United States Army. She left the Army and dedicated the next 21 years to patient care at Riverside Convalescent until she retired. 

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Elease and Rufus White, One sister Glenda McMillan and one brother Edward McMillan.

Vanessa leaves behind One sister, Merita Pinkney (Carl Pinkney, Deceased)  and One brother, Neal McMillan. 

Vanessa leaves to cherish her memory to her daughters, Tiffany Brewton (Earic), Glennis Royster-Turner(Clinton), Shereese McCall and Mariea McCall, fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. 

Vanessa accepted Christ at an early age.  During her walk with the Lord, she was not only a Pastor’s kid, she was also a singer with the uprising six of Chesapeake, VA.  Her church home was Tabernacle C.O.G.I.C located in Norfolk, VA. 

Vanessa Dedicated her life to the service to God and to the compassionate care of others.
