Veronne Drummond Obituary

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Verone Sebastian Drummond our most beloved son, father, brother, family member, and friend passed suddenly on Wednesday, December 01, 2021.

Verone S. Drummond, son of the late Wilbert "Caddy"Ames and Alice Mae Drummond Taylor, was born on September 05, 1969 in Nassawadox, Virginia. Ron as he was most affectionately known affected many people in his lifetime. Ron was introduced to Christ at an early age by his mother. She would always prepare him, his brothers, and sister for church and made sure that they were at Grace Mary& Gospel Tabernacle every Sunday.

Ron received his formal education through the Accomack Public School System. He was a graduate of Arcadia High School Class of “88”. Shortly after high school, Ron made an honorable decision to join the U.S Army with hopes of serving his country. He traveled to such places as Germany while enlisted. He later left the military to pursue other interest, which included his certification as a welder and his attendance at Aeronautics school in New York before returning home. For the last few years Ron has been gainfully employed at the Cheesecake Factory and Whole Foods in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Ron was kind and carefree, he loved to laugh and he loved people. He loved a good meal and he loved to talk junk. Those who knew him, loved him! One of his greatest achievements was his children. Ron loved his family and cherished every moment with them.

Ron was preceded in death by his father Wilbert Ames, his grandmother Pauline Drummond, and his three sisters Renee Drummond, Shirley Ames, and Bridgette Ames.

His name will forever live on in our hearts and be cherished by his mother Alice Mae Drummond Taylor of Temperanceville, VA; his son, Verone S.Drummond Jr. “RJ” of Temperanceville, VA; his twins, Veroneca and Verome Drummond of Philadelphia, PA; his three sisters Nikisha Taylor of Norfolk, VA; Rhonda Brown, Eastern Shore, VA; Candice Sample Baynard ; his two brothers Keith Drummond (Ayisha), Inwood, WV; Ebai Taylor (Rasheedah) Norfolk, VA; his two aunts, Martena Forde and Irene West; his four uncles, Charlie Drummond (Rochelle), Larry Drummond, Gregory Drummond; Tyrone Taylor; his six grandchildren; a very special friend, Angelina Wilkins of seven years; his best friend and bonus brother Willie Copes and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Ron is deeply loved, and will truly be missed.
