William Wiegratz

William Louis Wiegratz, 72, passed away on April 22, 2025, in Norfolk, Virginia. He was born on August 13, 1952, William, known for his loving and kind nature, dedicated his life to his family and community.

William graduated for Norview High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Old Dominion University. He served honorably in the Army, where he forged lifelong bonds and honed his leadership skills. William's commitment to service continued into his civilian life, where he worked as a district Manager at Taylor Rentals for ten years, demonstrating exceptional dedication and leadership. Beyond his professional life, William was passionate about bowling, playing pool, fishing, and exploring the best foods. These hobbies brought him great joy and connected him with many friends.

He is survived by his loving family including Sherry, Heather, Carol, Barry, Pamela, his grandchildren, niece, nephew, and dedicated companion Joyce Fillmore, who will miss him dearly. William was preceded in death by his parents, Norma Miller and Daniel Wiegratz, and his brother, Danny.

A graveside service will be held at Colonial Grove Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5. William's life will be celebrated by all those he touched with his warmth and generosity.
