Willie Daniels, Jr.

Willie Joe Daniels Jr. departed this earthly life to be with the Lord on Monday, May 29, 2023, at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital.

Willie was born March 28, 1948 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Willie Joe Daniels and Mildred Daniels. He was the eldest of three children; Jacklyn Daniels and Kenneth Daniels, whom preceded him in death.

Willie attended Boys High School in Bedford-Stuyvesant Brooklyn, New York. He later attended the University of South Carolina and John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

After High School, Willie enlisted in the United States Army, serving two tours in Vietnam where he earned an Honorable Discharge as a Private First Class. 

After serving in the Army, Willie became an Operating Room Technician at the Public Health Hospital in Staten Island, New York.

Willie was employed by the United States Postal Service as a Regular Letter Carrier for 35 years, where he retired.

Willie and his family moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia to live out his retirement.

Willie loved spending time building Model Ships, reading History Books and Recording Music.

Willie leaves to cherish the memories of his ex-wives; Michelle Daniels and Alma Daniels.

Children: Felicia Carrol, Willie J. Daniels III, Vivian C. Daniels. Tieara M. Long (Dave), Adrian J. Daniels, Torey L. Daniels. 

Grandchildren: Danielle Nieves, Hymina Daniels, Alea Harris, Allura Harris, Ari’Desha Wallace, J’Quan Wallace.

Great Grands: Madyson, Dallas, Alex, Avion and Wynter.
