Willie Deloris Jackson

Willie Deloris Jackson passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Princess Anne Sentara Hospital, Virginia Beach, Virginia.  She was born in Norfolk, Virginia on January 8, 1938, to James and Evelyn Jones.

Willie, a 1956 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in Norfolk, Virginia, was a devoted wife to Jerry and a cherished mother to Erin, Danette, Chris, and Jonathan. Her life revolved around her loving family, and she tirelessly cared for and encouraged her children, ensuring their happiness and well-being. With a green thumb and a passion for nature, Willie found solace and joy in tending to her beautiful yard and garden. She enjoyed decorating for the Holiday Seasons. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her. She was a longtime member of Queen Street Baptist Church.

Willie leaves to cherish her memories two daughters; Erin Jackson of Portsmouth, Va, Danette Jackson Ejike, Richmond, Va, two sons; Christian C. J. Jackson of Portsmouth, Va and Jonathan Jackson (Shawn) of Georgia, one sister Belva J. Keeling (deceased), one brother; Vincent Jones of New York, eight grandchildren, Kelechi, Obinna, Toya, and Kodiri Ejike, also Zerahiah, Jedaiah, Jada, and Zuri Jackson.  Also host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
