On February 25, 2017 Sherman Eugene Jennings departed this life.

 Sherman was born on September 18, 1951 to the late Sherman and Dorothy Jennings in Norfolk, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents Sherman and Dorothy Jennings, sister Patricia Jennings-Terrell, and nephew Alonzo Thomas.

He graduated from Lake Taylor High school in Norfolk, VA. and attended Virginia Wesleyan College. He worked for General Plastic Foam for 30 years. Sherman was known for his kind heart and being the life of the party. He gave his life to Christ and accepted him as his personal Savior.  The memories of Sherman will always be remembered by his sisters Emma (Kevin) Brown of Virginia Beach, VA, Dorothy (Avery) Davis of Meridian, MS.

Two nieces Theresa Terrell of Virginia Beach, VA, Tiffany (Tony) Wilson of Virginia Beach, VA. Nephews Justin Callis of Durham, NC, Avery Jr. Davis, Dustin Davis, Joshua Davis all of Meridian, MS.  His close and special cousin Century (Eugene) Dent of Norfolk, VA, cousins Linda Turner of Norfolk , VA, and Marion (James) of  Texas.  ; and a host of other nieces, nephews and friends. Also his very special friends at the Cromwell House Senior living apartments in Norfolk, Va.

 A Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Chapel of Keith Matthews Funeral Home
